Date Last Updated: April 15, 2021

A one-to-many network traffic distribution mechanism. Multicast stands in contrast to unicast (one-to-one) network traffic transactions.  Broadcast (one-to-all) is the other traffic delivery scheme which is only used and feasible in very limited settings.
